Hard to curl and straight, I use this each and every day. I've tried every brand and type and this is by far the best ever! Highly recommend this and would never use another eyelash curler.
The Shu Uemura iconic eyelash curler is hands down the best eyelash curler I have ever used. I have very straight, tiny eyelashes and this curler curls them like no other. I have tried every eyelash curler on the market and they don't compare in any way shape or form to this one!
I have been using this curler for over 20 years and bought another 5 years later. I did this because if I lost the first, I would have a back-up. This happened so many times that I started doing this procedure for everything I bought and loved. This curler doesn't crimp, pull, etc. and pushes the eyelash up and keeps the lash smooth and lovely. Like I said --- THE BEST! Oh by the way, the back-up is still in the box - just in case. The best ever!!!!
This eyelash curler is literally an Eye Opener. One curl on my lashes opens up my eye, makes my eyes look bigger and brighter. The only lash curler I’ll ever use, it’s gentle and the curl holds.
I have always loved the Shu Uemura eyelash curler, especially for my straight Asian lashes, no other curler has even come close. Sadly the one I recently ordered feels defective. It only catches the very end of my lashes and didn't work well at all. If I hadn't purchased directly from the source, I would have thought it was a bad knock off. Dissapointed.
I've heard of this iconic eyelash curler before, from magazines and from my favorite Anne Hathaway movie (The Devil Wears Prada). I have used cheap eyelash curlers before, never enjoying the results and my eyelashes never curled or stayed curled no matter how hard I tried. So, I decided to treat myself to the Cadillac of all eyelash curlers, the Shu Uemura eyelash curler, and well... I LOVE IT. It doesn't pinch me AT ALL, my eyelashes lifts and curls beautifully, so much so that I can even skip mascara if I want to and still look like a model. It's amazing what one little tool can do for your entire look- ladies, it's the small details that can make or break your entire look, so take the plunge like I did and you WON'T regret it!
Years ago, I attempted to buy my first shu uemura eyelash curler after reading glowing review after glowing review, but sadly was unable too as they were always out of stock, so I purchased what I was told was the next best thing... a Shiseido eyelash curler. For years, I LOVED that thing, nothing could compare and then it broke to my dismay. Thinking I'd go all out, I decided it was time to go for the cream of the crop and finally pick up the holy grail. Let me tell you, this thing is terrible! I've gotten better results from $2.99 drugstore curlers. I almost feel like I got a knock off. So I went back to Shiseido, and again am in love. Lesson learned.
I have been using the Shu Uemura eyelash curler for about 3 months and am very impressed. It pinches, but not nearly as much as other brands I have used. The eyelash curler make my eyelashes look as if they are naturally curly. It does not leave a crimp like other curlers. What impresses me the most is that my eyelashes stay curled all day long, even after I remove my mascara at night. Often, on weekends I don't wear mascara and my eyelashes still stay curled all day.
I had planned to buy this lash curler until I learned that there aren't replacement pads made for it, that once the original pad is used you toss the whole metal part away. This is wrong on soooo many levels, and just not necessary. Even if you charged more for the replacement pads to make the same profit, if that's what yo need to do but please don't do this to the environment!
It doesn’t fit my eye shape or open up enough - this is a really poor design flaw. Every curler I’ve owned opened much wider so I could ensure all my lashes were in the curler. Way too expensive & would return it if I could.
