Nothing has been able to curl my straight lashes and I'm certain it's due to the aging process. At 71, my lashes are coarse and straight as could be. No other curler has worked for me. I find that "if" I curl them, apply a light coat of mascara, wait 15 min, and recurl them, the second coat of mascara acts like hair spray and keeps them up for a while. I've always has lush lashes that framed my eyes and now, it's very frustrating to have to work so hard to keep them in an upright position. If any of you older ladies are having the same problem and have found a solution, I'm all ears. I'm grateful for the Shu Uemura curler for making this arduous process easier for me.

I’ve been using this eyelash curler since they sold them back in Sephora. I’ve NEVER had a problem with the mechanism with the refills. This is so very disappointing. I think Shu Umera should sell the refills separately and let the customers decide when they are ready to purchase a new curler.

I have naturally long lashes but I was in the market for an eyelash curler that could take my lashes over the roof. I am a makeup junkie and I love finding and trying new products. This eyelash curler had rave reviews everywhere I looked so I knew I had to try it. I have never used an eyelash curler before because my eyelashes are very long and full after mascara. I was skeptical at first because it was a more expensive curler than you find in retail stores. It takes some getting used to if you've never used a curler before. It took some practice but for me I found starting at the base of my lashes and doing short pumps all the way to the tips helped. The best part is you can do it as many times as you like to achieve optimal results. I had no problem with pinching or tugging. The shape of the curler fit my eye well and I didn't need a lot of pressure to get a good curl. I also found my lashes stayed curled with no mascara as well. I only write reviews for products I would recommend to others and for products I know I could use on a daily basis. So, if you're asking yourself if you need to try this curler the answer is YES!

I bought this recently and it only comes with 2 pads. None of the pads no longer fit in the eyelash curler so I can’t even use it anymore. I had eyelash curlers last me years and this lasted me 2 months. They don’t even make refills either so it was a waste. It did curl my lashes nicely but don’t recommend it if you’re someone who uses one daily.

This is my second purchase. My first one lasted 5 years. I cut a hair tie and used it as the rubber fill because they don’t sell the fills and it’s a great eye lash curler.

As a long time eye lash curler user, I was so used to the pinching and weird bent looking lashes I would sport with other eye lash curlers. Up until I was told of Shu’s Eyelash curler. I have super straight long lashes and this baby curls them beautifully. Curls, not weird bends, curls. I never leave reviews, ever, and this being my first on any product says a whole lot!

What can I say? This is the best eyelash curler, hands down. The gold standard really. Please don't change this except I would like to be able to purchase the refill pads separately.

If you're on the fence about getting this curler, as I was for a long time, BUY NOW! I always thought, How different Can a lash curler be? VERY! I've tried so many over the years & they've All pinched (yeowch!!!) pulled, made unnatural looking curl that didn't last And fallen apart! So far so good? No... So far so Amazing!!! NO pinching, great looking natural-looking curl. You could actually See I had lashes & that's Before applying mascara. From the moment I slipped my fingers in (it doesn't really look different) I could tell this was constructed differently - BETTER! I could Feel this was made sturdier & I hope to be curling with it for a long time to come. If I can do Anything with this review, I hope to let those who wonder whether they should purchase This curler that you won't be wasting your $,£,€ or ¥ & you'll be happy you did.
