I don't have a problem paying for something that I need to . I don't understand why you don't make replacement pads specifically for this product. I would buy them instead of buying a whole new eyelash curler that is going to go to the trash and sit there for years to come... I love the product though..
I love this eyelash curler. It's definitely the best out there, but I've stopped buying it. Why? I can't buy pad refills. Sorry, but while I love having curly eyelashes, I can't justify the wastefulness. Please sell refills, and I'll come back as a customer.
I asked once why they do not have refill pads and the response I was given by shu uemura and it was explained to me that the reason they do not offer refills is because the mechanical function of the eyelash curler would no longer be at it's optimal function by the time once had gone through the two pads the curler comes with. Not really sure how true that is. I would like to see at least three pads in each box to start but you can freshen up the rubber with a little bit of rubbing alcohol just like you use for your windshield wipers, just use some soapy water first then run a pad with a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol across the rubber. This should be done before the pad starts to show cracks or loss of shape. I get a little bit longer out of each pad this way.
I love the eyelash curler! Why do you not sell the refill pads...so disappointing and wasteful?
This is the best eyelash curler. I had a friend who was a make up artist for shu. They don’t make refill pads cause basically after constant use, the curler loses its strength. Which means your using more pressure to get curl. Which is really bad for your lashes. so I’d rather spend the money once a year and get the best quality. I hope this helps everyone who is complaining about no refills.
Tried others in the past but have stuck with Shu for years now. No one else seems to get it right. Or maybe it's just that the design is good for my eye shape. Whatever it is, it is perfect. Don 't mess with it! Refill pads would be great, no matter what I have heard as to the reason refills are not available. Kind of a wasteful, recycle nightmare product in that respect. Fix that and this would be one of the most perfect products out there. Thanks!
I bought this UNBELIEVABLE eyelash curler at Henri Bendel back in 1994 or 95....it is STILL the only one I have ever used or will use forever!!!!
This eyelash curler is already too famous but I'll share some of my thoughts with you guys. So the two top dogs of the eyelash curler world are definitely the Shu uemura and the Shiseido one, and I have used both for over 10 years. I find that the Shu uemura one works better for those with a wider and flatter eye surface and gives a natural curl. Shiseido curler is slightly more curved than the shu uemura one, so it works better for those with shorter and more 3D eye surface. I usually use this one for a more doll-like curl. If your eye shape is in between (like me) then both of these will work great for you!
Been using it since 3 years ago.. absolutely love it! only con is that Shu uemura don´t sell replacement pads! I don´t particularly like to trow out my money every 3 months... so you are missing out! on a sales oportunity here! because the shiseido replacement pads fits just great! you should sell your own replacement pads!
I’ve owned a couple of these over the years and every time I lost one I replaced it bc I loved it so much. Recently I wrote the company asking to purchase additional pads and was told that their curler is only designed to last a year, so they don’t sell extra pads beyond the one it comes with. A YEAR! Outrageous.
