I used this oil to remove some foundation and setting powder. It has a very thin consistency and it removed my makeup completely! I've used other cleansing oils/balms in the past that leave a residue or that don't rinse off well but the Shu Uemura oil emulsifies with water easily so it washed off clean. There's a moderate amount of an herbal smell, probably the ginseng. I'm not a huge fan of the smell but the smell doesn't linger.

This was my first time using a cleansing oil like this and I really loved how it left my skin feeling. This did a great job in cleansing my skin and not drying it out. I loved that it moisturized and cleaned my pores and left my skin smooth and fresh. My only complaint is that it is a little messy to apply as it is oily, but it has great results.

An oil based cleanser may sound like an oxymoron, but the smoothness of this oil makes it seem like you are washing your face with silk. Afterwards, your skin feels so soft and clean. The dry feeling a cleanser often leaves on your face is nonexistent. It's a perfect clean and leaves your face ready for your morning routine.

This is a decent quality oil cleanser. It had a nice strong scent but the consistency gave it one less star. It was too runny compared to other oil cleansers I've tried. It also didn't lather a little like others. Otherwise, it cleansed decently.

I really enjoyed this sample of cleansing oil. I really need to buy the full bottle. It feels so luxurious on the skin and left me squeaky clean after.

Absolutely love how this Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil takes off the makeup without having to scrub! So gentle with my skin while getting off all the grime from the day. My skin felt soft and looked great.

This is such a lovely cleansing oil! I am a huge fan of double cleansing and this oil is wonderful for your first cleanse. It thoroughly removes makeup and prepares your skin for your second cleanser. It leaves your skin feeling very soft and moisturized which I appreciate because I have dry skin and I dont like to use anything that could possibly leave my skin feeling dry or tight. I am very happy with my experience!
