Overall, this product worked well at removing all my makeup and sunscreen; was gentle around my eyes and emulsified well when I added water. The reason why I, personally, wouldn't buy this is the smell: it was VERY strong. Almost had a straight up perfume smell to it, and was just for me too overpowering. I don't at all mind fragrance in my skincare but this was just too much for me. The scent does go away after you wash it but the whole time you are using it it felt like I was being dunked in perfume, some people may like that but I think my nose is too sensitive. Also, I've found other products that do a similar job with less fragrance and a better price point. So while it worked I just didn't enjoy using it enough to want to purchase a full size of this.

I received a free sample of the Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil to try. I'm not used to using oil to cleanse my skin, but this product feels wonderful. It feels like my skin is soaking in the moisture and I love that it contains squalane. I would highly recommend this.

I absolutely loved trying this Oil Cleanser!! I love a good oil cleanse in the morning cause it's so gentle. Made with 8 precious oils! Leaves the face feeling very clean. The scent I can't pinpoint but its pleasant to me.

I received a free sample of this product, it was a very small amount so, I could only use it once but, it had a really nice scent, it felt light and it make my skin feel soft.

Okay, I honestly truly do want to love this cleansing oil that I received to try from Butterly. However, I cannot say with absolute certainty whether it lives up to it's claims or is effective or not, simply because the amount that I was sent to test was such a tiny amount that I couldn't form a solid opinion. What I CAN honestly say is that the little bit that I tried was enjoyable to use. It felt like buttery cashmere as it glided across my skin!

This cleansing oil effectively renews your skin while keeping it moisturized, soft, smooth with less visible pores. The cashmere-like texture of this cleansing oil is achieved by blending exquisite botanical origin oils such as Japanese camellia oil (tsubaki flower), ginseng, and squalane that are infused to better condition, nourish and protect the skin for a visibly renewed skin quality. This cleansing oil worked just fine in my evening routine as my first cleanse. Its very runny, water-like consistency made it easy to apply and effectively removed all my layers of sunscreen and impurities without leaving any oily residue behind. It felt very gentle and nourishing and a little goes along way. It has a light herbal scent that wasnt overpowering but I do prefer fragrance-free products. My skin was left feeling clean, refreshed and very soft! I do have to mention that since I received a sachet-sized sample I could not use this product for a long period of time to see any other benefits which I was surprised about because I saw so many others receive a bottle to review. This also is a luxury brand which comes with a hefty price: 450ml $98 Theres just so many other amazing affordable options! Maybe if this one went on sale I would purchase it!

This product made my skin feel and look amazing. It smells amazing and it's very affordable. I'd most definitely would recommend Shu Uemura Cleansing oil.

For decades I bought into the advice that people with oily skin needed to avoid anything with oil. Not so! Later I learned that oils dissolve oils and that there are compatible oils for different skin types. Cleansing oils gently and effectively dissolve and remove makeup. Shue Uemura's Ultime8 Beauty Cleansing Oil cleanses and softens my skin and has a delightful floral scent that is a pleasure to use. And it only takes a few drops. The #sample sachet I used lasted over a week for me! Just because it doesn't lather like conventional cleansers does not mean it isn't effective. I also find that it helps to balance my combination skin. Up until a few years ago my skin was strictly oily. Now I have areas that are dry and flaky, and this cleanser is very kind to my skin.
