Porefinist2 Sakura Refreshing Cleansing Oil
I have been using this oil cleanser for more than 5 years. I double cleanse at night (daily make up wearer). I have oily skin. This light weight oil removes make up really well, and never breaks me out. I can’t live without it. LOVE.

Simply The Best Cleansing Oil!
I’ve been using Shu Uemura cleansing oils for well over 10 years, mainly POREfinist2. About a year ago I wrote a less than favorable review complaining about the new scent that I now rescind completely! I decided to use anyway, got used to the scent and now don’t know what I was so upset about, lol. This is still the great product I’ve used for years, can’t do without it! It removes stubborn eye makeup like no other and leaves my skin feeling clean and glowing.

Must have item for cleaning routine
I have been using this cleaning oil for 7 years. It did great job in removing my eye makeup. My pore is tighter and my skin texture is improved. I have combination skin. Never have any break out since using this cleaning oil.

HOLLY COW my eye make up zapped off with the very first wipe and I mean all of it.I have bought 9 different make up removal products and thos one is absolutely the best I tried this year..I wish I could afford it and will be saving to do so and will be checking back for sales..if this product works this amazing I know everything else will.. fantastic job...

The BEST
This is the best cleansing out I have found. I have also tried both the green and purple bottles of Shu cleansing oil, and while those were also great, the pink is my favorite! It is the most lightweight, removed waterproof mascara instantly, and rinses clean without residue. I have combination/oily skin, and I have never broken out with any of the cleansing oils I have tried. I did receive a sample of the sublime 8 and that was way too heavy for me. Porefinist is makeup removing perfection!

Glowing Skin

Miraculous!
This stuff is miraculous. I’ve struggled with oily skin and large pores for my entire adult life, and this is literally the only thing that has ever helped. I’ve spend so much money trying to find products that are right for me, and this finally did it. I bought the largest bottle about 7 months ago, and my skin started clearing up and becoming less greasy within a few weeks. I wash my face with this twice every day, and the bottle is just now almost out. I’m tempted to stock up just in case it ever gets discontinued haha. Oily-skinned friends, you will not regret buying this.

Still great results but too much new fragrance
This is my third large pink bottle and the latest one I purchased recently has the new Sakura text on the bottle and came with strong fragrance that the previous version didn’t have. It is too much lingering fragrance for a sensitive nose and it actually tastes bitter when a little bit end up in the mouth in the shower. I hope they make one without the silly unnecessary fragrance, or this will be the last bottle I purchase, sadly.

Rose bath for my face
I received this as a gift from my cousin-in-law when she came back to the US from Japan. It was like my face had taken a nice warm rose bath. It smells refreshing and I think two pumps to a round pad is prefect. It's gentle on your face too.

New Formula
This has been my favorite cleanser for over 10 years. I took a break for a while to try some other cleansers and decided to switch back to it. I am so disappointed in this new formula. It does not rinse off clean like the previous version, and leaves a greasy film that has to be removed with a foaming cleanser (which I try to avoid). Now I’m stuck with two giant bottles I won’t ever use.

Dislike New Scent of POREfinist2
I have used Shu products for years including this cleanser, so last year when purchasing eye makeup, I added a backup large bottle of POREfinist2 to my order. I just opened it a month ago and immediately noticed the strong scent which I dislike immensely. I’ve tried to suffer through with it but I dislike it too much to continue. I came on here to see if I was the only one and noticed someone else mentioned their disdain for the new scent too. Anyway, I’m sad to have to try to find a new organic, unscented cleanser. (Or at least one with a less annoying scent)

best cleansers
I wanted to write my review for the previous cleanser, as it was my favourite, I got samples of all of the cleaners to see what worked for my skin, it was definitely shu products that I was getting, though I wanted to find what range in Shu worked best with my skin, as each cleanser has a purpose, you match it with what you are looking to fix in your skin, or how your skin feels after you put it on, as how your skin reacts could vary with what you are fixing, so I matched it with how my skin felt and looked after using the sample, then I put it with another toner and moisturizer, that I wanted to fix for other things, so with Shu i purchase things from various ranges to fix various things, and i put them together, so everything is fixed (rather than a cleanser, toner and moisturizer from one range) i mix and match my products so all of my concerns are addressed with each product, Shu's cleansers are the best cleansers that I have ever put on my skin, the oil in the cleanser makes your cleanser leave your skin feeling hydrated, the previous cleanser didn't have a fragrance, though I didn't mind as this area of my body has thinner skin, so I was looking to fix my skin rather than fragrance it here (though I like fragrance, so I fragrance my whole body instead with a lot of fragrance as I don't here), I like these oil cleansers a lot, other cleanser that I tried always made my skin feel dry (because they cleansed and stripped it), but the oil in Shu's cleansers removes makeup softly whilst hydrating at the same time, the cleanser made my skin feel soft and hydrated (before toning and moisturizing, this is something that I didn't find in another cleanser), it is only a small amount of oil that you use as the cleanser is concentrated, so the bottle lasts a while, the pump also makes it easier to cleanse, the oil worked with my for sensitive skin, a lot of cleansers irritate my skin and this one didn't, it also made my skin clear, less redness and an even skin tone, I like my skin very clear and shu makes your skin very clear and youthful

I've been missing out!
I just received my purchase last week and have been using this product daily ever since....with ZERO regret! This is exactly what my skin needed to boost its clarity. I am very dedicated to my skincare routine, however, with oily skin, and a hot, sweaty, polluted work environment, I am constantly dealing with congestion. THIS cleansing oil has already helped significantly! I had one small breakout on maybe the second day, which was most likely the result of pulling all the gunk out of my pores. Since then, it has been all uphill. My skin is clearer, brighter, and just FEELS cleaner. I have tried other K beauty products in the past, without much luck...I am happy to report that this is not the case with Shu. Also, I chose a sample of the blanca:chroma clarifying essence...WOW! I just dont understand why it is not available for purchase on the US site! Bummer. I now have my eye on a few other products to try out. I will, however, have to save first lol but I always believe skincare is worth it! Thanks for the positive experience, shipping was rather quick as well.

Loyal customer, so disappointed
I've been obsessed with Shu Uemura cleansers since my best friend introduced me to them over a decade ago, but this new formulation simply doesn't work like it used to. It feels heavy and lifts way fewer blackheads. I've used some of the other varieties, which were always heavier than the POREfinist, but this feels straight up greasy, and it doesn't rinse from the skin easily. I also really dislike the new smell. Very artificial. I bought two bottles because it was on sale, and I regret it. The entire range of products has gone completely to trash since the company got bought out. So disappointing.

Skin feels and smells great!
Been using this for a little over 2 weeks now, morning and night. A little goes a long way, so the big size should last me almost all year haha. I love oil cleansing and previously used the Ultim8, but only because I didn't know there was a PORE version targeted on reducing pores! They do seem a little tighter, not like a miracle cure, but my face looks brighter and slightly more glowing than before. And I love the scent. My fiancee says it smells great too. Before I started oil cleansing, my skin was super oily all the time. Now by the end of the day it's only the slightest bit shiny in the T-zone. I can't say how this stuff does removing makeup because I don't wear any.

A beautiful fragrance, lovely skin texture!
This oil cleanser is my favorite. It's the best I've ever used. I have very sensitive acne prone skin, and this oil cleanser does wonders for my complexion. Any acne that I do get is usually quite easily rid of, or doesn't stay very long. With other cleansers, I would have very dry skin and it would effect my skin's ability to combat bacterial cells. It's amazing to me because i use so many moisturizers, serums, etc., and it's this oil cleanser of all things that really improves the way my skin looks and feels the most of anything I use.
This cleanser is also great at removing waterproof makeup, (oil duh!) however, their original version is slightly better at removing heavy makeup with less effort. Since this is a sensitive skin formula, it makes sense that one may need some extra TLC to get the work done.It smells wonderful, and the scent can last a few hours. Whatever they use for the fragrance has not effected my skin's health to my knowledge. It works great, my skin is so soft and bright, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

It gave so much breakouts/acnes
I used it for a week and my face is crazy right now. It gave me so much acnes and breakouts, i have never had this bad skin in my life. I dont know what to do and i’m just like smh........ my face has never been this bad, even when i was in high school. I wonder why this cleansing oil is doing it to my face. It removes my makeup but gave me so much acnes. I have contacted customer service but didnt hear anything from them.

Love this cleasing oil!
I bought this several weeks ago for my mom. She loves it, i love it. It has a great floral scent, and the color is super cute. The best part is, it cleanses all my makeup, including my waterproof mascara. Love it, and will definitely repurchase!

Does its job well
I have combination skin. This oil removes makeup at once even waterproof, keeps my pores clean.
It's very watery, but for me it's a plus because it makes product last longer. Usually one bottle of 450ml lasts about 7 months.
However I didn't like the smell at the beginning. But I got used to it.

Don't buy cheap make up remover. Just get this
I've been used this products about 5 years now. I tried other make up remover products too, but never worked good as it did with shu uemura. Also, there is no dry feeling after only washed with shu umura cleansing oil.

Wonderful cleansing oil that gets the job done
My college age daughter loves her waterproof mascara. She’s tried many cleansing methods, makeup removers, etc. This cleansing oil is the first that she said works well and removes her mascara easily. The packaging and product are so beautiful. Thank you!
