to use cleansing oil, apply the formula directly to skin and gently massage to help breakdown makeup, sunscreen, excess sebum, and daily buildup. using your hands, emulsify the oil with lukewarm water and massage your face again to further help the breakdown of daily build-up. continuing to use lukewarm water, rinse the face thoroughly until all the cleaning oil is removed.

cleansing oils and balms contain emulsifying ingredients that allow them to break down and rinse away makeup, sunscreen and daily impurities when mixed with water. the main difference is texture: cleansing oils have a silky, fluid consistency, while balms have a buttery texture that melts into the skin. 

micellar water has a lightweight, water-based texture and is suitable for removing light makeup or refreshing the complexion during a quick morning routine or while travelling. some formulas do not require rinsing, although you should always follow the product’s directions.
